A Manhattan escort jumped from a sixth-floor apartment to escape a client she said kidnapped her and forced her to have sex with multiple people, The New York Post reports.
Prosecutors say the unnamed woman went to an escort job in a swanky Manhattan neighborhood in November when her "John" stole her cellphone, money, and identification.
The "John" also allegedly told her that she wasn't allowed to leave the apartment and had to make him money, the Post's Laura Italiano reports.
The alleged "John," 36-year-old Benjamin Gaston, "struck the woman and held a pillow to her face," according to prosecutors. The woman called 911 on a cell phone she found in the apartment, but since she didn't know the address, police weren't able to help her.
Gaston then allegedly took the woman to a second apartment, where six or seven additional men were waiting to have sex with her, according to the Post.
But the woman says she jumped out of the apartment window. She tried to use her jacket as a rope but fell to the ground, breaking both femurs and her back.
Gaston and another man involved pleaded not guilty to charges that included rape and kidnapping.
