Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

After nearly a week of controversy surrounding the body of suspected Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, FOX 25 and The Boston Globe are reporting that he has been moved from the funeral home for burial.

"A courageous and compassionate person came forward to provide the assistance needed to properly bury the deceased," Worcester police Sgt. Kerry Hazelhurst told FOX 25.

"Body left Worcester funeral home before midnight," Boston Globe reporter Wesley Lowery tweeted today, "[and] has been buried out of state in plan approved by uncle Ruslan Tsani."

Multiple cemeteries in Massachusetts refused to accept Tsarnaev's body. Tsarnaev's uncle was initially insistent that Tamerlan, who died during a police shootout on April 19, be buried in Massachusetts, but those plans fell through.

UPDATE: There is some confusion as to whether the body has actually been buried or just moved in preparation for burial. Globe reporter Lowery tweeted this clarification: "Worcester PD statement says Tamerlan Tsarnaev's body 'entombed,' which is technically different than 'buried' as I reported."
