Feminists are lining up to bash New Zealand Law Students Association for a rather risque picture the group posted to its Facebook page, Above The Law reported Thursday.
Offended readers posted a barrage of angry comments on the group's Facebook page about the photo, which pretty strongly implies women can only succeed through seduction.
"OMG, I can't believe that's my country, how shameful," Geraint Scott posted about the picture, according to Fairfax NZ News.
"I was not aware that see-through shirts and cleavage was the trademark of a good lawyer in New Zealand. Apparently I have a lot to learn about their judicial system," Majken Aune Olsen added.
NZLSA President Seamus Woods took to the group's Facebook page to assure everyone the photo was a satire of a separate ad that was attacked as being sexist.
Woods also stressed the association's "unwavering commitment to the achievement of female law students, and views the place of women in the legal world as being of paramount importance."
The picture has since been removed from the NZLSA's Facebook page.
